Seems the fresh water crab, is doing really well on Texoma. I turned over some rocks maybe 20 rocks and found 3 crabs.

I have seen them in the Brazos below PK dam as well.

I also think Stoker had one in his livewell earlier this year that a bass coughed up from Hubbard Creek.

Ryan keep looking when you find an area with a bunch there will be 3 or more under every rock. There are laydowns I have seen with atleast a hundred on them. They have been in the lake for sometime now and what I have learned is that they are in several lakes in Texas and it is not that uncommon which was a shock to me. I have caught them up to the size of a silver dollar.

These are Harris mud crabs which are from coastal areas. As far as taste I have know idea. Here is a link to a good bit of info on them. http://nas.er.usgs.gov/queries/factsheet.aspx?SpeciesID=197

If yall would stay out of those places and just stick to fishing you wouldn't have this problem, I'm sure the crabs are more likely on the Tx. side.

I have found them in places just as thick or thicker on the Oklahoma side. I have found them from Newberry creek to Oklahoma briar and most places inbetween. I really like to see what color crawdads are in an area.

I know a friend of mine that caught the crabs out by Thong Island last 4th of July. He went through 3 bottles of Blue Starr Ointment before he got rid of them. LOL!

Ok so is this a possibility on Whitney? I lifted a rock over the other day and there was a light grayish crab about the size of 2 quarters.

I didnt tell anyone in fear of someone thinking I was crazy.
