There, see. Problem solved! I picked up on the fact that when the sandbass are way up shallow chasing bait that the bass will hold on the first stumps or cover closest to those areas and you can get healthy real quick throwing a big fat squarebill. Start banging those stumps and good things happen.

I can remember that several years ago there were posts questioning whether there were any whites in Fork. Some said lots of yellow bass but no whites. I guess there are no questions about that now. Now they will probably have to change the name of Share a lunker to share a skinny bass.

Wish they wernt there. Any shad eating species is competition for other shad eating species and whites are shad eating machines. But....it'll be alright!

Why is only Lake Fork fisherman that complain about this they are in almost every lake !!!!!! Fork has never really had them. Imagine pulling up on a ridge and catching quality 5-8 lb fish regularly for 3 or 4 years, then this year you go out there and all you can catch are 8" sandies.

Not good news to hear about larger populations of sandies in Fork. Popularly held belief that Fork is such a good fishery because of the yellow bass population instead of white bass.
I don't think anyone other than white bass fisherman who live near Fork would view this as a good thing.
