I was off today and headed down to the coast. I hit a couple usual spots and did a little exploring. I didn't see a decent fish pulled out of the water by anyone today.

no clue, was at Christmas Bay & SLP. Caught some Croaker at Christmas but didn't see anyone else catch anything decent. Stopped by SLP to finishing off my bait around noon, currents were weird, strong incoming on the Freeport side, even stronger outgoing on the Galveston side. Lot's of people/rods out there, but didn't see anything caught

We were at the concrete ship saw some fish on finder but nothing being pulled in, lots of boats. Then went down to gulf side of south jetty a whole lot of boat, and some rods being bent by some big boys on quite a few boats at the mouth, but lots of boats. so went down the jetty towards the beach found an opening among some boats and started pulling in nothing but sharks, between 3ft t0 6ft.

I haven't been since it reopened. Looks like it might be worth a trip.

I wish I knew my way around Matagorda. So many stories of good fishing but I have no idea where to go. Is this spot of your a secret or can you share? I'll understand either way.
