Took my little cousin out to Mc Fadden along with a couple friends. Did very well until the tide starting moving up around 1pm. Weather was great and we were catching bulls left and right! Ended up catching 15 all together and 40" being the biggest that my 14yr old cousin caught. And his first redfish to! Couldnt get pictures of all the fish, I got tired of taking up time to take pictures because the fish were biting as soon as the bait hit the water!

Caught three huge Gafeheads but that was it.

when is the right tide to fish for redfish in the surf? We tried this weekend at port a and didn't catch any redfish. We tried two different days.

I would say low tide. We were fishing between the second and 3rd sand bar. The water was about a foot above the 2nd bar and once the tide moved in we couldn't get out near as far as we were.
