thanks. we had a blast on that trip. we made about 4 or 5 stops at oil platforms and they all produced alot of fish. my son hooked onto something big at our last stop. it spooled some line out, and he could not reel it in at all. after about 2 or 3 minutes of no give from it, it started going to the right towards the oil rig and got tangled with other lines. it got some slack and was gone. oh my son was sick, but did get over it. we are looking forward to the next trip.

Trout Scout, thanks. he is my outdoorsman. he has got me back into hunting and fishing after over 20 years off. he is allways ready to go. he keeps me going and i thank the good lord for him.

hamster1, we have been wondering what kind of fish it could have been. i bet your right. i have caught jack fish years ago and they are tuff fighters.
