the spinning reel thread has me primed to buy a Cabela's Salt Striker with bait feeder. BUT now what line should I put on it? There are way too many choices. Fused, copolymer, microfiber, braid... I want a very low memory, limp line. On-line shopping denies me the chance to see and feel the line Then again I'm sure Academy would not like me opening all the packages in the store either. So what line would you say is the most limp and best suited for a spinning reel? Visibility (or lack of) is not high on my list; lack of memory is #1 criteria. thanks

Used to use a mono backer but now I wrap the spool of the reel with electrical tape first then put the braid on.

I like the Tug O' War. It's color seems to last MUCH longer than the Power Pro I use to run. That seems to be only difference, but it makes it easier to see bites.

I use electrical tape as backing and 65lb tug-o-war braid. More visible and like a very strong and abrasive resistant braid. Also like my main line a little stronger than my leader. I use 50lb mono leader material. If it breaks, I loose a hook not the whole set-up. Why would you use a main line of 20 with leader at 50?

Couple of wraps of plain ole black electrical tape around bare spool so the braid will grab it and not slip.
