Is it still safe to travel at high speeds? Yes, I was there last week and never had a problem.

last weekend was my first time at fork. Ran all the marked lanes to view the lake with no problems. I did see a fellow hit a stump in an unmarked boat lane in the creek by the damn and spun his prop. I saw several others run in and out with no problem.

I hit a stump up Little Caney last weekend and it was marked as waypoint on Boatlanes. I was set on the 500ft range on GPS and DEAD on the marks. Didnt do any damage but I went back and seen the stump. Its in between the second set of trees 3/4 of the way back. Definatly start to be careful.

Most often the boat lanes are correct, but I know they are off in Mustang right now..Just be careful and run what ya know. . I've been on the lake quite a bit the entire summer and have been fortunate enough to not have any problems anywhere.

Been on Fork almost ever weekend and the bouyed boat lanes have been fine. Once you leave those you are on your own. Be safe and idle in unless you are sure you are clear.
FISHING NOW NOT WORKING ANYMORE

Good luck running Little Caney near that orange cone on the tree.

Those are fishing guide lanes that they claim MIGHT be safe that you are referring to correct?

Not doubtin' you Tim, but damn, zoom rate at 200' traveling 88' per second, gives you about 2 seconds to refresh the screen. I never screwed it down that tight at speed. Will it work? Just askin'........don't have a real new unit, Lowrance 337. Thanks, Jim

I see tons of people running out of lake fork marina straight ahead to the boat lanes... I on the other hand am not that brave. Is this really a safe thing to do?

I have never had any issues running straight out from LFM to the main boat lane, however I have it marked on my graph after following a few locals out of there.

Head a little left when you leave LFM, towards the big green point and the Tower on the horizon. Never had an issue doing that. allthough i have it all marked on the graph, i seldom look at it when i come out of there.

On a HB 997 do the lanes show up as big blue weigh points?
