Going out today on Ray Hubbard. It's been quite some time. Any suggestions where? Looking for some Sandies and Bass. Where are the stumps to avoid?

go to the sand bass section of the forum. There might be some sand bass reports on that lake.

stay south of I-30 and you should be ok. look for sandies at the end of the powerplant jetty at sunset. get you some tiny torpedos chrome/blue and just slowly reel them back to the boat.

On the south side of the power plant jetty I caught a nice 5/6 pound hybrid yesterday.

I didn't see any.Maybe I was going too fast.

Looks like the lake is starting to turn over.

Was that you in the Bass Tracker?

If so, you went the wrong way to get to the end of the power plant jetty.

I crusied by there on my way in and the sandies are hanging around the drop.

That wasn't me. I was in a green procraft.
Anyway, I saw plenty of bait fish. Used some slabs and some other lures but nothing. All i got was a small bite by the last entrance on the left just before the damn.
There's always next time. Thanks all for the information.

Unless something changed this week, I have not seen the big schools of sandies on Lavon in 4-weeks. Last week (Friday) the birds where really working the south shores, down wind. I will probably fish the rocks at Hubbard tomorrow. I like my boat too much to take it up the river once the water is 4 ft down.

Huge one floating just south of the tip of the jetty. There has also been one floating mid lake for a month now, too big to drag anywhere. Someone tied a white jug to that one.
