I just got a weekend trip to Port A that I can use anytime within the next year. Any suggestions on when to book a trip to get the best fishing for Reds? I would like to go early May if that is a good time.

Also, any suggestions on guides?

Thanks,
Chris

Right now is best, May is always subject to pesky winds.

March around or after the spring equinox bull tides.

Small "gulf" reds 25" - 30" will invade the fish passes and marshes of the barrier islands.

I've had some clients catch reds for 6 straight hours and left them still biting. Good time to box a few flounder as well.
