I'm heading to Sam Rayburn for the weekend. Haven't fished it in a while. Could use all the pointers I can get. I'm gonna be near the Twin Dikes area. Thanks

Watch out were ever you go almost 8 feet low alot of shallow areas and timber you dont never see and some under the water line not usually something you have to worry about but it is right now. I will be there this weekend also on the lower end of the lake somewhere.

All the lakes here in East Texas are low. I went to Lake Nacogdoches and Murvaul over the weekend and both are well over 4' low. Getting in and out is sketchy and I saw stumps places I didn't know had stumps. Just be careful out there.

Man, we are headed down there for Media. Seems like everytime I am down there the lake is low and I am scared as #*^% to run very far to catch fish. Two years ago there was a monster stump in the middle of the boat lane. Hope we can find fish.

One thing for sure you CAN find that big stump in the boat lane. It's still there. AND as the lake keeps dropping there will be more!

From the Black Forest to North of 147 bridge all I can say is watch it I know Media usually goes out of Jackson Hill so you will have to run in that area. Dont try to run between the Island southeast of 147 to cut back to Harvey creek you aint going to make it stay in main lake and go the long way around.

If you are worried about running, just stay down south. Plenty of good water and much easier to run around.

We had two holes two years ago that produced for us. I only ran back and forth to them. I broke two fish off in the first 30 minutes the first day and my partner lost a 5# the second and I put a 5# in the boat 15 minutes later. Someone pulled in on the spot after we moved out for a bit and got a 7# our of it. Would really like to find some more, but I am scared to death to run it. We are going down two days early to look and see what we can find.

Can one run from the 147 bridge to either of the 103 bridges at these water levels?

I'm not sure anyone can run to the 147 bridge to from the dam unless they are very familar with the lake at current level.

I wouldnt suggest it at this level. There is really no point with the water temps dropping. Plenty of good water that is safe to get to down south.
