Why? It's just ONE MORE THING that can malfunction and leave you stranded on the water, or burn up your engine.

I just get so dang frustrated at the pump when adding gas and oil! The last time I added 12 gals of gas and when I went to add the oil the gas overflowed and ran out everywhere. I got the oil in but it made a mess.

I always add the gas first so I know how much oil I need to add.

put the oil in first. if you have a 12 gallon tank, then you should know how much oil to put in before you even fill it up. it also mixes it up better when the gas is hitting it from the nozzle.

I have a 24 gallon tank.

I read that before but there is one big problem! When you go to fill up you have no idea how much gas is needed. The gas gauge is worthless as it tend to just bounce up and down smile

When do fill it automatically shuts off but then it does not leave much room for the oil.

I guess I need to create some kind of dipstick LOL

Like Stick says. Merc used to make an AUTO BLEND reservior back in the mid 80's. I have added several to diffent engines and never had any problems with any of them. All you need is a 12volt supply when the key switch is in the "on" position. Be ready for an extremely loud warning horn when the unit gets to 1 pint of oil.....
