 Minn Kota Edge Trolling Motor goes in a circle.!!!!

I got the Minn Kota Edge and finally got it put in boat. The first time out Me and My Fishing Buddy started using it and it took off great. Then we stop and fished some trees and went to next tree. Then after we was getting ready to leave he pushed down on the pedal and it would do anyhting but go in a circle. Looked up at the arrow dial and it was 360 off it went around a complete circle and then it finally it straighten out. Then I think it did it once more that night. Went out Sat and it happened one more time. Whay gives with this or what are we doing wrong Help Please

sounds like the cable has slipped there is a tension adjustment at the front on the bottom of th pedal but youll need to get things aligned back up, that may require pulling the top half of the cover off
