There is cost cutting going on everywhere..I wonder what the life expectance of a calaveras/Braunig redfish would be if it was catch & release or maybe one per day per individual. I'll be there would be some hug redfish caught. Just a thought..

Large redfish are caught often... having it catch and release would just be a waste. A lot of people if spending $7 to get in want to keep enough to feed the family. Just my opinion I throw all mine back anyways... just 2 years ago 700+k stocked... the lakes will be fine they are packed with reds

I know both lakes came dangerously close to being closed to the public before 1000 trails came in to manage them. Hopefully TPWD will see all is stable now and restart a stocking regimine.

I personally have really enjoyed the fishery and would hate to see it go away. 1000 Trails has made thing much much better IMO. If that is what is takes to encourage more stocking I'm all for the 3rd party management.

thousand trails has nothign to do with the stocking program...but agree, so far pleased with them keeping the parks open and running

I do hope they stock Braunig and Calavaris soon with more reds. It seems that the fishing tempo for that species is very high.

it hasn't even been a year since cali was last stocked...patience guys...besides...i saw them this year stocking cali with fish.
