Hi Guys - Just wanted to drop a line and introduce myself. Avid fisher(person). Just transitioned to lure fishing and I can tell that moving from live bait to artificial is going to be tough. If anyone out there wants to go fishing let me know. Hubby supports me but he's really not that into it. I have a bass boat and I live in the Grapevine Lake area.

Noodle, I prefer artificial baits, a lot cleaner. If ever I have some money to split trip with you I would definately take you up on fishing. I fish with my husband, he was the one buying tackle for years and I thought it was stupid and now I am completely hooked.

Mrs. C -
No need to split anything with me. I'll extend an open invitation with no strings attached - you just gotta meet me at Grapevine.
I prefer early morning - it's too darn hot to fish in the middle of the day.
Let me know!

Noodle that is awesome, will probably take you up on it in the next few weeks. And if we get along (if you can stand me) I have a friends private pond around my area I fish we can go to...good sized bass. BTW I am Manda.

I live in Corinth, which is around the corner, for Lake Lewisville. In the next few weeks I'll be off a half a day during the week a little, catch is my hubby will have to approve, if your of the male species. I would love to catch some crappie.

MsBass I'm a member of Crappie Anglers of Texas and the club welcomes anybody that wants to learn about crappie fishing. It's very educational and what I like about it is the club hold tourn. all around the state once a month. I like seeing new water. I have not done well in the tourn's but have a great time. It's not highly competitive and everyone will help or try to help.

Hi there, I'm a newbee as well to the forums. Grapevine Lake is not far for me, and I've never been lure fishing, so if you'd like some company I'd be happy to tag-a-long. I'd like to fish more in general, but don't have many female friends who are into that sort of thing... so if any of you have any suggestions for newbees let me know! Thanks, Catherine

This sounds like a girls club in the making.
My daughter Tiffany has bass fished since she was young. She is now out of college.
I'm sure she'd like to join in if you girls get something started.

That sounds interesting. I'm wondering how many ladies would be interested in forming a Ladies Bass Club in the North Texas area. I know there is the Dallas Bass N Gals club that meets over in Mesquite.
I know NOTHING about the formation of setting up a club so my knowledge of by-rules, etc would be quite limited.
I would not be opposed to something a little less formal but with fun tournaments.
If any of you lady anglers out there are interested, send me a PM. I can start collecting email addresses and start researching.
