I'll share that I have had a skier come so close to my boat that water flew into the boat. That guy had the whole lake to ski in. Made me mad but a short time later the guy came back and said he was sorry for that. At that time I was not in the line of work I am now which makes a difference. But the lake needs to be shared by all and everyone needs to be courtious to all. Doesn't always work that way but at least there hasn't been a fight over it yet. I have delt with people that complained on fisherman cuz he was skiing in a no wake zone and was shot with a bb gun. That was funny actually. Everyone just needs to get along like in the old days. Too much stress and everyones in a hurry.

However, I am a little upset to hear yall say there are a lot of skiers out there. Cant we have anything to ourselves anmore?(L0L)
Its not like skiers took it away from fishermen. People have probably been skiing Dunlap, McQ, & Placid before anyone ever wet a line. That is the kind of attitude that causes trouble. They aren't doing the sport that you like so they automatically suck & ruin everything for you? Throughout your 4 different screen names on this site, all you do is complain about the same things. You are not fooling anybody Who crapped in your wheaties? Besides skiers on Upper GBRA lakes have a tendency to exhibit actions that in my mind boader "Harassment" of Sportsmen. I'm not advocating fishing only regulations, but I certainly can sympathize with anyone who has a bad taste in their mouth regarding "skiers". My problem is when you burn through 4 screen names & all you do is complain about EVERYBODY & EVERYTHING ruining your fishing. It gets old. Just to name a few actual rants this guy has been on regarding ruining his lakes & fishing, there are.....skiers, duck hunters, the city of Corpus Christi, TX, the shrimping business, too much rain, too little rain, pirates, tournament fishermen, too many out of towners coming to his secret lake (choke), concussions from shotgun blasts, etc. I am not making a single one of these "rants" up Come on dude. There is no reason to act so hatefull towards me. Im not even doing anything to you. I got some opinions about things but I have never harrassed anybody around here like you are trying to do to me. I dont know what I have done you you but I will be the bigger person and apologize so that you can stop wasting your time with trying to start a fight. Life is too short for that. Al I said was that it was a bummer tht there were so many skiers. This is a fishing forum, and fishing and sking dont exactly go together. I have never fished Dunlap and am just going off of the above post on it. Why dont you just let it go and just not look at my post if you dont like me. I feel bad that you are so worked up but there is no reason. I have not said one insulting thing to you. You are taking your vendetta way too far and its disruptive to others. You have even tried impersonating old friends of mine, thats kinda scary! For what its worth, Im sorry, now lets move on okay! BTW, I have never said anything about pirates that was not a joke. I like to joke about the "Falcon Pirates" because I think that the whole thing was blown way out of porportion. You just need to slow down and relax!

I have been wanting to go and load up on some catfish lately! I want to get a bunch of meet to give to some of my business customers. Also, catfish is about the only fish I like to eat and I want to get some for me too.
I heard Mathis is getting a little better these days so maybe I will head out there and check it out. Its a short drive from my house!
Good Idea!

Fished Dunlap last night from about 5pm til dark. Bite was good, and caught fish on jerkbaits and black Zoom worms early, then pitched jigs closer to dark. The docks seemed to be holding most of the fish. All in all a good trip for myself and a buddy of mine with 13 fish in the boat, with a 5 1/2 and a 4 1/4 bring up the heavy end. I'll probably be out there again sometime this weekend...hope to see some of you fellas! Take care!

Nice Job "jigflipper" It is good to know that they are still holding by the docks. I was fishing for some gills by some tree lines and decided to hit a dock or two. Was able to pull a 15 inch bass from one of em.
