im gonna get a chance to fish this weekend (FINALLY!!) and im looking for some places to try out and this place sounds pretty good..one problem though, i dont know how to get there..so i greatly appreciated it if someone gave me directions...i would be going east on I30..thanks

ps: any tips on what to use, and what rig to fish with?

* Take the Bobtown exit and turn left.
* Immediately after going under I-30 bridge, you'll come to sort of a split....stay right, it's Roan Rd.
* Turn right on Rowlett Rd.

Marina Del Ray is on your left and there will be a small lot on your right, just before you go across the bridge. You can turn into this empty lot and park. Walk down the path alongside the road, towards the bridge and you'll come to the rocks. Just climb over the rail and be careful walking down.

We use Size 8 treble hooks, pinch weights and bobbers. We've had luck with both Chicken Livers and Murphy's catfish bait. Set your hook about 3' and cast out about 10-15' and wait. Pay attention though because sometimes those cats are sneaky little bastards. smile

2 miles from my house, I really need to wet a line, I may go this weekend too weather and wife permitting

im going tomorrow morning...either to del ray or out to a lil pond i know of holding some hungry catfish...but it just rained and i wanna hit the lake..hmmm such a tough choice in my life.
