Does anyone camp at Falcon? and live to tell about it?

I love to camp and I've learned how to rig my truck nice and fast and if you'll fix a bag you can find a spot during mid day to take a bath and wash your hair and get into clean clothes. I think you can eliminate boat theft if you'll keep a shotgun beside you in the bed of the truck. Buy a nice air mattress and a tarp to cover youre truck bed...if it's cool at night you'll love it and you could always get a motel if you get tired of roughing it...but it's a good way to save a couple of hundred and fish falcon for a week or more.

The state park is nice. Well patrolled by the park officers.

The flowers should be in full bloom at the state park...it's great bird and butterfly watching. The Snow bird should be down soon.

The peole that think there is rampage theft/murder around Lake Falcon are complete idiots.

The guy at Falcon tackle put it the best I have heard it the other day.
"There are more Border Patrol, Coast Guard, Sherrif Department, and DEA around the lake now than there ever has been. The lake is as safe as it ever has been. Yes, you go to Mexico and look for trouble you will find it, but then again if you go to any town in Texas and look for trouble you will find it there."

I'd go to Falcon, one thing about it there is enough law running around the boat ramps...............last time I was there I left a Ice chest full of beer in the back of my truck. With the resent goings on...........will be lots of places to park at the ramps anyday.

If I wanted to travel a little and do something different, I'd go to Grand Lake (week days only). Maybe Broken Bow if it cools a little. Catch Lake Murry on the way back for one day on the way back to Dallas or Houston.

We did great on Grand Lake September 17th. Had 18.5 lbs between 5 fish. Sardis or McGee Creek produce big fish and are not fished hard at all. You'll be one of the only boats on the lake if you are fishing weekdays.

Come on Louie, Lake Lewisville! That ought to be a new lake to you now, haven't seen you there in a long time...Just kiddin you there buddy, that would be nice to take a vacation fishing! Have you ever fished Caddo?? If you headed to Shreveport you could fish Caddo a couple of days and the Red River a couple of days.

Yeah they are fixin to turn it on at B.B. The fishing is starting to really pick up.

I dont know if I'm gonna get the 5 days off now or not... Apparently I didn't kiss the right persons rear end enuff..... Oh well... the reg weekend off will be good enuff. Im not gonna start kissin A just to get a couple days off...
