fished ray hubbard today with son and son in law. was great to be back out on the water with them. it had been way to long. put in at chandlers about 10;30, hung a left, went down a few hundred yards, found them about 200yds off the bank 14 to 18 ft. used green tnt slabs, dropped it to bottom raised it up slowly as high as we could and they hit it lightly on the way up. caught some nice size sandies, a nice blue cat, a few small hybrids and one hybrid just under at seventeen inches. bite slowed, cruised around , picked up few here and there, went back to where we started and caught some more. cleaned 24 nice size sandies, threw more than that back. left at 3;30

John that is a great report and thank you for the details. Us new guys are a little lost on these lakes and it's good to have details like these. Thanks again!

Well Lavon was a bust this morning Friday 10/1. Still a bad day fishing beats working. Caught one sandy and one large mouth. fihsed the points across from East Elm Park and the power plan. Nice day, lots of fish, they just did not like what we offered. Reports on the lake indicated that no one has seen sandies boiling for three weeks (that is the last time I caught any of any number). Maybe I will try Hubbard west bank on the humbs or Roberts on the humbs Saturday.

Conditions were very tough today. North wind, blue skies and high pressure. Fishing can only get better, because if it gets any worse, I will start to think it is February laugh

Hubbard was pretty good today. Birds and fish working early at rp, along with some knuckle heads with no tm's. Ended the day with had to be around 100!

Lots and lots of small ones, probably 1 keeper to 10 under sandies. Aslo got 2 under hybrids.

Ill try again in the morning, and I was by myself.

Sea pro Todd was out today also doing pretty well!!

February is my absolute favorite month of the year. October and November are fun, but February is when the MONSTERS bite! duel

Though I would check out Ray Hubbard 10/2. Was a little windy at sunrise, but laid down around 9:30 to glass. I think the birds slept in, not much help. After running the west shore and not finding any activity, we joined the rodio off Robertson Park (16 boats). When the bass started hitting the surface, the boats move like an organized flock of birds. It was great.

My question is how many weeks before a 9-1/2" sandy is legal? We must have caught 80+ fish with one keeper. No fish tacos tonight.

Beautful morning, I doubt there were 30 boats on the whole lake.
