 No more P line for me

Had about a 4# break me off this weekend on Pline CXX 15# test. Set the hook and was just holding her out of a bush, and pow. Here's the kicker. Cut off about 2 feet, retied, pulled it tight, and it broke again as I yanked on it. Cut off another foot, retied, tested it, and we're good to go. Probably just a bad spot in four of five feet of line, but just can't that chance again. Cost me a place in one of the hourlys at the BBT this weekend at Lewisville.

you must have a bad spool because the CXX is typically super strong.
I use the 12# and drag fish over and around stumps alot of the time.
Its usually what I use in timber as an alternative to braid.

I know a guy who that happened to with P-Line. I have tried them all and dont like it...EXCEPT, P-Line Halo, Its Flouro and very strong. I hung up a C-Rig at Cedar Creek with 20 lbs mono and a 15 lb P-Line halo leader and couldnt break it off, it pulled the boat instead.

I go through several 1000 yards of it a year and haven't had that happen.

Never had it happen and I also go through a few thousand yards of CX and CXX.

pline is plenty strong never had that happen to me but theres bad spots on every kind of line ive had 65 lb braid snap on cast before it happens check and rety alot lol

I had a friend use it at falcon 20# and said when they hung up they had to wrap it around a boat cleet to get it loose or break it. I have used Pline for years and have never had a problem with any of it, sounds like you just got into something and frayed it up

Can't trust it either.. It's been praised by many, I'm certainly not one of them. P-Line has cost me money on 3-occassions; I'll NEVER use it, even if it was for free. Mean Green or Berkley -- Mono or floro I like both...

I had a spool of pline braid that would snap like it was 6 lb flouro.
