So I'm on the lake this afternoon and I'm Trolling along as normal with my TM. Nothing out of the ordinary and right out of the blue, it just stops working. I had only been on the water for half hour maybe, battery was fully charged. The switch on the foot control would click but no action at all. I checked the fuzes in the console area and they all look fine. I have a year and a half old Bass Tracker Pro Team 170 with the standard Motorguide TM that comes with it. Everything else on the boat worked fine.
Any ideas??? Is there another fuze somewhere else? Is it common for one to just quit like this? I have never owned a MG TM before - always had MK TM's. What should I do?

Have the batteries tested. Same thong happened to me in the middle of a day and one of my batteries dropped a cell. Just stopped working

should be a circuit breaker where your trolling cables hook up to your batterys. re-set it.

Thanks gary20i. I'll look for it when I get home today. That's probably the problem.

Well, I checked the fuze at the battery. It's good. Checked the connection at the plug-in. It's good too. Checked the battery charge - FULL. Guess I'm headed to see the guy in Benbrook that I read about here in this section to see if he can tell me something. Hopefully it's something simple and cheap.
I too have always had good luck with Minn-Kotta. If this MG's shot I will replace it with one. Really suck though... I was gonna spend some money on something else. Now this. Isn't that the way it always happens? *&^%$#@!

good luck. You might pull the prop off and see if you got some line wound up behind it. Might also tap the motor with a RUBBER hammer while holding down the button.
