No report, but I go down there about the same time every yr. on those dates. Shoot Teal at Anahuac in the AM, then and fish the bay side gut as it enters the Intercoastal. Good fishing. Big reds and nice sized Flounder usually there at that time. Can catch sand trout for bait. Use Live and cut. Lots of stuff on the bottom...

There are ample bait shops. There's one in High Island, and another right at the pass. I always use my cast net. I was there a portion of last Saturday. There was nothing, not even mullet or shad in the pass. I tried the surf, and did not get one hit. I anticipate the bull red run should start soon. Who knows, it may have by now. A lot can change from day to day, and much more so week to week.

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD DELETE DELETE DELETE POST Texas www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/annual/fish/limits_saltwater/index.phtml#** Three fish per day, 20 to 28 inch slot limit. Red drum special regulation: During a license year, one red drum over the stated maximum length limit may be retained when affixed with a properly completed Red Drum Tag and one red drum over the stated maximum length limit may be retained when affixed with a properly completed Bonus Red Drum Tag. Any fish retained under authority of a Red Drum Tag or a Bonus Red Drum Tag may be retained in addition to the daily bag and possession limit as stated in this section.
Red Drum Tag: This tag is required for an individual to take one red drum per license year over the maximum length limit of 28 inches, and is included free with the purchase of a saltwater fishing stamp endorsement or any package that includes the saltwater fishing stamp endorsement. See tagging information. Persons who want to obtain a red drum tag and are EXEMPT from fishing license requirements may purchase an Exempt Angler Red Drum Tag for $3. Bonus Red Drum Tag (Type 599): $3 This tag is required for an individual to take an additional red drum per license year over the maximum length limit of 28 inches. After using the original Red Drum Tag, a person may purchase a bonus tag at any license sales location upon presenting a valid fishing license or other valid personal identification. Only one bonus tag allowed per person per year. No person may have in possession both a Red Drum Tag or Duplicate Red Drum Tag and a Bonus Red Drum Tag issued to the same license holder.

idk if i should be too concerned seeing as there was 3 of us i only caught one slot red, we just laid em all out together, besides the limit for 3 people would be alot more fish than i have there... i appreciate the concern tho.
