I found the plug for the old hummingbird depthfinder. It had a white and a black lead and no fuse. I assume the black is ground. I plan to carefully grind the old epoxie off of the tranducer and maybe mount it in in the hull w/ that goop from academy, or boat silicoln, or maybe more epoxi. ANY OPINION; WOULD? 3m white 4200 medium strenght fast cure marine adhesive work for gluing in transducer in hull???

DO NOT use silicone! IT may work for a little while but it does not work long term and actually will weaken the sonar soundings. THe only recommended product is Epoxy. Get the longest cure time you can get. Devcon from Wallyworld will work but the longer the cure the cooler the chemical reaction and better performance.
