Where is a good place in the Dallas/Ft Worth area to spend the afternoon catching bait ?

Lewisville always seems to produce good shad. Never had an issue catching at any time of the day. Obviously morning would be your best time. I would stay away from lake Arlington or Joe pool. Hard to get anything big enough to stay in the net

Lewisville is good. Also don't know how far you are from Lake worth or Eagle Mountain both have been easy to catch gizzards. I launched out of lake view on Eagle Mountain thurs night and caught more gizzard shad 10"+ than I ever had. I caught about 2 dozen in one throw off the dock. Heard of other people getting into them like that but it was a first for me. Hope this helps

Thanks for the info guys. Kind of funny,went to Joe Pool last night and threw for about 1.5 hours.I hurt the population pretty bad...... 7 tiny shad almost 2" long !
