I am going to run some jugs baited with small perch in the hopes of catching some larger opps or blues. What size hook should I use for 10 plus pound fish?

A 2/0 or 3/0 stainless steel offset Eagle Claw is about the best for that size. I would go for something a little larger if you're looking at catching blues or flatheads larger than that, say maybe a 5/0-7/0 should be enough.
Now, you'll catch more fish with smaller hooks and with juglines, a smaller hook will hold a larger fish since they can move around a little more than on a setline or trotline.

I would probably use some 4/0 circle hooks. I like circle hooks because there is less deep hooking.
Yes I did admit defeat. Good job back to back champion

if you are fishing for bigger yellows and blues then don't be afraid to use even bigger perch. i find that anything between about 3 and 10in long makes good bait. you need the live bait for yellows, but fresh cut perch, shad, and carp, makes very good bait for blues. be careful about making your cut bait pieces too big, i'd make them about 2in square is all the bigger they should be. i prefer circle hooks on all set lines, i use 12/0, 13/0, and 14/0 hooks. 12/0 is a good all around hook, but match your hooks to your bait. bigger perch like 6in and longer warrant a big hook. you can get regular mustad circle hooks at any academy.
