It's in iboats. I just had to read lots of post under evinrude.
Mine: I attached motor to hoist removed motor mnt bolts all control cables to every thng on motor, removed steer arm at motor end of steer cable, beat steering cable out of steering tube w/ hand mall and 2x4 blocks then a punch. Lots of pounding.
If it the greese is dried up u may have to get bolt penetrant spray and I think maybe they removed the greese zerts in iboat to spray cable to fee up steer cable. If that doesn't work they cut the cable out.
The motor has to be unbolted because it will have to swing to the oposite direction that cable is being removed.
Iboats mentioned a good penetrant to use. Just have to read iboats til u find it.

Thanks: I am going to call SeaCast concerning stringer issues anyway.
