Can anyone tell me why my sinkers get a chalky white coating on them? They are in a hard plastic compartment type box. The ones in their original bag, stored in the same area are not turning. These are among my oldest stuff, not used much. Is it just time and they'll all turn? Waddya think?

Not sure but may be the impurity or purity level of the lead may have an effect on how fast it oxidizes compared to the other weights

alot of my old ones did that but tackle box had gotten wet inside too.

I bought a pile of sinkers from Chase. He does a great job and gets"em to you asap !
