My guess with all of the rain this year that the rivers are going to be prime for next February's White Bass spawning runs. I also assume the lakes are almost or are at full pool.

You must not fish Hubbard. February is a long way away. Check back on January 31st of 2012.

Hubbard is low, Tawakoni is low, Fork is low. Dont know what part of the state you are in, but we need rain here around the metroplex. I tried to get up in a creek today to bass fish and could not even get close to the mouth of the creek. As long as the lakes are at pool, the spring run will be normal. Sometimes it is still good when the lake is low, you just cant get a boat in the creeks.

Matt, were you on Hubbard? I was wondering if that shallow flat from the golf course to the river was land before the tropical storm dumped on us.

It was really shallow, but there is plenty of water to get in and out now. Tawakoni is still over 2 feet low. No way to get into any access creeks. Theres now any whites in them now anyways. Just green fishes

Everything I read about Lake Buchanan (and its associated resevoirs), Canyon Lake and Medina lake are that Buchanan and Canyon are at full pool or above, and Medina is a little less than 12 feet from cresting the spillway. I don't know if that means it is 12 feet under full pool, or what. Either way it is much higher than last year. In fact all are much higher than last year. We have had a wet year (except for July and August) in the Hill Country. In fact it is raining again now.

Buchanan is still 8 ft. low. I'm optimistic about the prospect of it filling up, but we still have a ways to go.

Actually, We are at our September average water level. Just wish it would fill up quicker. It's too long a walk to the water and I want some water floating my dock.

Most of the Creeks, Rivers, and Lakes in South Texas had gotten a lot of water due to the recent rains. The Nueces River in South Texas I-59 Bridge(Live Oak Co.) should be on fire this spawning season for whites. Usually January thru early March is the run.

Will there be plenty of water for the white bass to get upstream this year?? What are the winning lottery numbers going to be? Since we are predicting th future, I figured I'd ask
