Have a question for you who have fished Lake Bob Sandlin. Do you find fishing the bridge pillars there productive and if so what colors do you normally catch your crappie on. May head up that way on Sunday. Thanks

I fished it a few times this summer and did well on brush piles and caught a few on the bridge pillings. With the water being a little cooler the bridge fishing should improve. My best colors were orange/chart & Red/Chart.

I used to have a plase on BS and in the fall the big crappie can be found under the 21 bridge. There used to be prety good brush piles a pilling # 18 # 21 and 22 1/2. Jig to the bottom and come up 1 and 1/2 cranks.
Let me know how you do.:)

Thank You Flat Penny. I will give a report if I go up tomorrow. It seems the wind is going to be alittle high.

I fished under the railroad bridge back many years ago and the fishing was great just had to dodge the coal falling from the trains as they rumbled overhead and put up with the paging system at the electric plant. There was two of us fishing and I was catching nearly all the fish even with my fishing buddy's pole between my two poles.

Do you start counting the bridge pillings from the State Park side of the lake or the other side of the lake?
