I collect wheel wieghts by the bucket, try the local tire shops. The ones I haven't already hit if you can manage

plumbing supply houses sell 98% lead ingots. usually in 5 to 10 pounders. tire weights aren't good on the new lead pots that are coming out now. the old ones can handle'em, though.

I get mine free. Find a roofer, and ask him for the old pipe boot tear offs. The lead is hella soft and easy to work with. I probably have 50 lbs. stacked up now, and have given away some to friends who pour.

Make more friends! Especially roofers & plumbers. I know one of each!  Have never had to buy lead!
