OP asx Outdoorsman A Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 29	Just wondering how the bite is this time of the year in Texas. We are in our final stretch of tournament fishing here in the northeast (Ma) with one more team tournament left on the books. I have our final tournament this coming Sunday and the following weekend is our 2 day tournament of champions. In general the bite has been slow with a ocassional peak for short periods. I have traveled up to Lake Chaplain on 3 seperate occasions this year but the bite has been slower than normal there also. Troyz Extreme Angler T Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,120 Lake Fork	Think here in TX a good summer bite just depends which lake you are fishing. We are still quite a ways from a fall bite. In South TX, Falcon Lake has been consistently good all summer, in fact it has been great all year. The other South TX lakes have been harder to get consistent good action. Some of the guys that fish other parts of TX will have to fill in for their areas.

IMO, this summer was slow for fishing in alot lakes around the North Texas area. It has been getting better since we had a cold front push in a couple of weeks ago.
