I've got mr. Crappie high vis line on every pole in the boat. Since I re-strung all our poles with it a couple months back, I have had more line breaks than ever before! I love being able to see every move my line makes but at what cost.. Does anyone have the same issue with high vis line or mr. Crappie line? When I get hung on brush it seems to have stretch, but seems like the smallest of fish can make one quick move and "SNAP" I'm over it...

What type knot are using? My hook 9 times out of 10 will bend out first before breaking the line.
In that two month period how much did you use it?
I redo mine usually after 2 times i fish with it, only problem I have ever had with this line is memory.

i use Mr. Crappie and have never had a issue with it breaking from a fish. for the line memory, when i string mine i spray a rag with reel magic and run the line through as im reeling it in and that takes out the line memory.

Go to Berkley Fireline in either Crystal or Lime Green. It is a fused line with no stretch. It's the only thing I use anymore.

Memory is a problem with Mr. Crappie line especially if you are using it on smaller sized reels. Reel Magic will help some with that. As far as the line strength when I was using it (I used 4lb) it seemed pretty strong for it's size. Marc is right about the knot some are better than others and you may want to wet it down before cinching the knot to see if that helps keeping from breaking off.
I have quit using Mr. Crappie line and have moved on to Suffix 8lb as my go to mono and have experimented with Fireline/flourocarbon on some of my reels.

If you want mono you need to try out Viscious Pan Fish His Vis. It's a super strong line without hardly any memory. I still use that and I also use 10lb. Power Pro in His Vis Yellow. I love it so far.

Vicious simple solution and yes sometimes there's bad lots of this just like anything else, haven't found anything that will compare to it in the winter in the same price range!

Check your rod tip real good and your rod eyes, sometimes if theres a burr, it can put little knicks in your line ad you wont notice it. Put some fresh line on of your choice, and after using it a few times, inspect the line, run your finger along it and feel for burrs.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I use the Mr. Crappie hi vis in 6lb and have had no problems with it breaking. I use a loop knot and a fox knot.

Stren XL 8 or 10# test works great for me most of the time.

Maybe you got a bad spool of line that is old or something. Last year myself and customers caught and kept thousands of crappie using only Mr. Crappie 6lb line. I also respool about once every week during the busy season and about once every few weeks in the slow season. Mainly because of low line on the spool from repeated breakoffs, pulling frayed line off, and some line twist. Good luck
