Fished Ray Roberts last Saturday. West Fork water was cloudy but the East Fork was actually pretty clear despite the rain. (Not sure if that is standard or due to where the rain last week fell etc)
Caught a few around 12" but no size to speak of...missed a few also. BAss caught in 2-5 feet on a watermelon fluke with red flecks in it. Bass took the bait lightly so you really had to watch your line.
New boat to me and still learning the depth finders so I am having trouble finding grass. Anyone that can give me a heads up as to where to look would be appreciated.
I think its a great lake....just gotta learn it.
Love this site, glad I found it.

Most of the coves on the south east side of the lake from the dam up towards buck creek have some grass. Sand has the most and gets the most fishing pressure.

Lots of submerged pond dams on that lake to fish, and they can produce really well this time of year.
