My buddy and I are going camping and fishing next weekend. We were planning on PINS but I am wondering if there is somewhere better to go due to current tides, weather, other conditions, ect. So, my question is if you guys were going anywhere on the TX coast next weekend where would you go? Pretty much anywhere from Houston area to PINS. We are coming from Stephenville so far south or the golden traingle are a little farther than we want to go.

Two of us have a Saturday Charter with Billy Sandifer on PINS. Solunar tables say Sat 9/18 is the best day of the month. Tides should be great for beach driving with early evening low tide. Wind predicted to be East at 9mph.

My boys just got back from their fist trip to Pins on their own, they went to the 20 mile marker, the driving was fair. They caught small reds all day Saturday and had one big one break off and one spool their surf rod. There is lots of mullet in the surf.
