CNN reports the 3 medi-vac'ed to be 'serious injuries', but nothing more yet on anyone's condition or cause of the collision.

I don't get it. You have to have a license and insurance to drive a car but they will turn anybody loose in a boat with no understanding of any rules,regulations or insurance. They need to pass some strict laws on boat and police the waters alot more. While fishing yesterday, I could have stepped out of my boat and into a boat that was driving by me while I was fishing. Had to be the first time I didn't sling a lure in that direction. (He had a small child in the boat)

Louisiana now requires any one born after 1972 must pass an approved boater safty course prior to operating any boat with more than 3 hp. Even though I am exempt I will attend the class with my 16 yr old son this month. Never to old to learn a few things. Even after 4 yrs in the Navy. Glad to see they were at least wearing PFD!!!!!

Radio just reported that according to an investigation a 12 year old was driving the boat that t-boned the other boat
