What is the best prop size for a Triton 19X for optimal performance. Rite now I an using a 27p Tempest. I have great top end speed but very slow getting out out the water and on plane. Please help if you can!!!! Thanks!

well that is a loaded question, what do you want to do go fast or have a good hole shot ? - can't have both...first the higher the pitch the slower the hole'shot but the faster you go, the lower the pitch the better the hole'shot the slower you go...for optimum engine performance and longevity you want to be running in the upper end of the manufacture suggested RPM range at WOT during both summer and winter...if your turning that 27 pitch wheel at 5200 and the Mfg. suggested is 5200 to 5700 then you are putting to much load on the engine and that will decrease the engines service life...but if your turning that 27 between 5500-5700 and if top end is what your looking for then don't mess with a thing... but if your looking for good top-end, hole'shot and all around good performance in both hot and cold temperatures I would suggest a 24 Pitch Trophy 4-blade...just my 2 cent's...good luck in your search.

What kind of top end RPM's are you turning? Might want to get some plugs for the exhaust holes as playing with that can improve holeshot. As stated above the lower the pitch the better the hole shot but lower top end. 4 blade gives better handling and holeshot but less on top.
