Go shallow in the brush is what I'd try first.

My dad was driving by Meadowmere boat ramp yesterday and saw a man pull some nice fish out of the incoming current in the creek channel. He couldn't stick around long enough to get a great look at what he was doing but if you are familiar with river bass fishing now might be a good time to apply those skills. Also, like WarEagle1982 said, I think this is also a good time to pull out the jib and buzz bait. There is a lot of new real-estate to fish.
I will be out on the lake this weekend as well fishing for fun. Look for the gold Nitro640LX.

Run a spinner or drag a weightless or light trig worm/senko/lizard through all that flooded brush. Watch for the swirls and moving sticks early in the mornin then toss to them

Brush?? I thought we were talking about Grapevine? There's tons of flooded brush right now, and it'll be holding plenty of fish.

Thanks - I appreciate the input. I'm anxious to see what the lake looks like with this much water coming in.

Not to mention, it looks like there is still the chance of isolated pockets of rain through the week and into next week. Will be interesting to see how much it rises.
Last time it was 5' over conservation pool, the fishing was great!

There is no fish in Grapevine, especially Bass. and they do not bite, especially on the Grass lines of the newly flooded areas. Frogs are not a native species of Grapevine either, so dont get caught throwing them into the new grass line where there are no fish, especially Bass. Sorry i could not help you out.

Ok - I wont fish floating amphibians around or near shallow newly submerged fauna for fictitious piscatorial species.
