I have looked around this forum and other places around the internet and have answered most of my questions already, but I have a few more. I have no coastal experience and am heading down to Port A in a week or so.
Question 1: Can you mix Gulp baits in the same Gulp bucket, or does that mess up colors and/or scents (I have 3"shrimp in new penny and some in white plus 3" mullet in glow)?
2: when fising the surf with fresh bait on bottom what size weight and how much leader is typically used?
3: If fishing from the jettys with gulp bait/natural bait under a popping cork, how long of a leader and what kind of leader? I have some popping corks now with about 18" of steel leader hanging below the cork, but don't know if it is best to put the hook on that or put more leader below.
4: if bottom fishing at the jettys how far out do the rocks go, I would assume you would have to cast past that or automatically lose any bottom rig.
I am using inland black bass rod/reels (6.5 feet med or med heavy tackle with 15lb braid or 10-14 mono.
Thanks in advance, any and all tips info are welcome and appreciated.
What was that?

You can mix the Gulp baits in the bucket w/o any problems. Storage of these buckets doesn't come up often, but I've found that the liquid will turn over time if subjected to sunlight and extreme heat for long periods of time. I've started keeping mine in the house when I'm not fishing. The boat shed or under the RV was not working. Your tackle should be fine for artificials and popping corks in the surf or from the jetties. It's when adding enough weight to keep a bait in place on the bottom that will expose the limitations. I've tried it, and if that rod is rated for up to 5/8 to 3/4 oz. baits, a 1oz. weight is pushing it, and often not enough to keep the bait in place. Some will say that your tackle is too light for the jetties, but there are plenty of keeper trout and slot reds to be had at the jetties! Have a blast, and tight lines!
