The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan

Mono - I'd never tried Big Game until I read about it's popularity on TFF. I think it's great! Started using it last year (15# Clear), and I really like the way it handles/casts and it's the toughest mono I've used. No reason I can see to pay more for techniques where you want mono. Now I've got 20# too for Casting, and I'm even using 10# on my spinning rod. The price is amazing for the quality you get!
Braid - 50# Sufix Performance on a baitcaster. I've been happy with several brands on Spinning tackle.
Fluoro - Haven't found any I'm that impressed with and tried Trilene 100% this year. Sounds like I need to try InvisX.
McCoy Mean Green is great Co-poly - just can't see it...been wanting to try their clear blue. I really liked P-Line Floroclear too, but now I'm going to Big Game for all the techniques where I was using it.

When I first started fishing I used Big Game for pretty much everything and then I switched to braid for everything.
I recently bought some Big Game earlier this year to save a few bucks and found out that it really isn't that good. No wonder I lost so many fish. Not worth the money. Now that I am more experienced this is what I use:
Mono- Trilene Maxx, P-Line CXX Flouro- BPS, Seaguar Braid- Power Pro
