Well after 30yrs of fishing fork the stump monster got me today. Prop and shaft were bent after hitting one on plane running in the boat lane out of Lake Fork Marina. Lake is low and lots of hidden stumps all over the lake. Be careful.

Im thinking of buying me an OLD, NASTY, UGLY, WORN OUT, aluminum boat patched with brazed coathangers and bondo just for that reason. I live so far away that I only get to fish Fork a handful of times a yr. So, therefore I put a 100 miles on my trolling motor cause Im terrified of what happened to you.

Running through the middle of Little Caney by the orange cone is intimidating right now.

Depending on how bad the prop shaft is bent Chuck over at Service Marine has saved a lot of guys $$$ by straightening the shaft. Run the prop by Steve's Custom Props and get back on the water soon.
We bumped one pretty good in Little Caney 2 weekends ago, fortunately no damage.
We can only hope this rain puts some water back in the lake soon.

The lake will get you. Hope you getter fixed soon!
I killed a old boat out there one day. We were fishing a two day tournament. Day one we hit a stump real hard. The next day the bilge keep coming on. When we got done I crawled under to look at the bottom . Sure enough there was a 4" stump buried in the bottom. The poor old boat got sent to the salvage yard after that.
My old bud still gives me grief over that.
We did manage to get a small check

Sorry to hear about the damage.

There ought to be some runoff hitting the lake by tomorrow, hopefully.
