My buddy is taking me out to lake weatherford next weekend. Where are the good spots on the water? What are some of your go-to lures on this lake? He keeps blanking on this lake, I want to be able to show him where the fish hang out. Thank you guys .

Not a lot of secrets out there.
Start flipping docks, and dont stop till you have come back around to the first dock you started on.
With the fresh water, the bite should turn on some.

This year has a been an off year for it for some reason. Figured since its the first year we have had water all year it would have been better.
They are still there, but just goign to have to work a little harder to get them to bite.

start out fishing docks throw a 7" blue fleck power worm and throw a chart/white bandit 200 and you should get bit the dam and the wall almost always have a few stragglers, and the lake has lilly pads on the north end of the lake. some dont like the lake but dont let that keep you from fishing, like fish killer said its been an off year and we have had water all year round. the lake has some big bass in it. just put your time in and it will pay off. and if you can find them there are a lot of brushpiles in the lake too. good luck
