My son and I went out this morning and had a great time on the lake enjoying the cool temps and great fishing! We found feeding fish in a couple of diffrent areas of the lake! We were expecting to see a lot of holiday boat traffic but were pleasantly surprised by the lack of early boat traffic on the lake. Most of the fish that we found that were biting were holding around 18-24 ft and tight to the stucture in pretty big schools! We even found some suspended schooling Hybrids out in deep water with alittle top water mixed in until about 5 or 6 other boats found us and decided to run over and through the schooling Brids and knock'em back down. Owell it was fun while it lasted, which was about 45 mins. The water temps have responded nicely to cool night time air temps! When we put in this morning (6:30am) the water was 79.7 at the ramp and ended up at about 81.4 when we left at about 10:30am. All in all we had a great labor day weekend!! Fall is finally in the air!! Hopefully!! Old mother nature is not just fool'en with us!
