I posted this in the Boating section too. The rocker switch on my T/M control panel got a short in it and now my T/M is useless. It's the 12/24 three position switch. It has six spade style post on the back. If I checked the continuity (sp?)and found one just like it, could I just replace the rocker switch? Any guru's on here know about this mess? I need help quick, please??????

As long as you get the same type of switch-ie- if your switch is 250 ohms replace it with the same thing you shouldnt have any problems. My best word of advice is to buy the best switch that you can, they will last longer.
Common Sense has become so rare that it should be considered a super power

Problem solved. My next door neighbor used to rig bass boats. He by passed the switch, so it rus on 24 only, which according to him is what my T/M is wired for.
