This is not going to end well......
It's a moral issue, you mAke the call. Is it legal? NO, because she didn't actually catch it.

My Question Is, why would you want to keep either one. I've found by the time you cut all the red meat out of a large Red Fish you'r better off keeping and filleting one not over 24". Also your large Reds are females which are reproducing. My-self I take a picture of the large Reds I catch then release them.

You're legal to keep one at a time, as long as you have a tag. Be a good sportsman, don't be selfish or greedy and let the second one go. You'll catch another one down the road.

As earlier mentioned the smaller ones are better table fare anyway and they contain less mercury than the larger, older ones. Do you really want to feed your family mercury? Didn't think so.

No. And are you sure you're using the 2010-2011 license?

Just a question, I did not keep the second one, A guy on the beach was asking the question. He says he keeps one for every kid in the family, DID not think it was legal, I ONLY keep one a year. Same goes for all fish with a limit of ONE. Some people DO NOT OBEY OR WANT TO OBEY THE LIMITS AND THE LAWS. I understand they r in place for a reason.

If you send in your tag you will receive another one, but like it was stated before, the bull reds are not that tasty. Fun to catch bu not great table fare.

Even if the kid caught one all by herself, even though she does not need a license, she still needs a tag ($3). So either way the answer is no, not legal.

Red Drum Tag:
This tag is required for an individual to take one red drum per license year over the maximum length limit of 28 inches, and is included free with the purchase of a saltwater fishing stamp endorsement or any package that includes the saltwater fishing stamp endorsement. See tagging information. Persons who want to obtain a red drum tag and are EXEMPT from fishing license requirements may purchase an Exempt Angler Red Drum Tag for $3.

If you thought healthcare was expensive, ... wait until it's free

Bonus Red Drum Tag (Type 599): $3
This tag is required for an individual to take an additional red drum per license year over the maximum length limit of 28 inches. After using the original Red Drum Tag, a person may purchase a bonus tag at any license sales location upon presenting a valid fishing license or other valid personal identification. Only one bonus tag allowed per person per year. No person may have in possession both a Red Drum Tag or Duplicate Red Drum Tag and a Bonus Red Drum Tag issued to the same license holder.

HERE IS MY ANSWER, Thanks for all the info....
