Went fishing Saturday morning and launched out of Walnut Creek. Found a couple of piles but nothing. Went to the island and found "the platform". It is really big and showed to have alot of fish on it....but I caught nothing! Fished with LFT Baby Shad char/pearl. I got hung up several times and lost jigs left and right. Fished about 2 hours for nothing. Decided to try catfishing with stink bait and caught many.

I guess I need to follow a real crappie fisherman around to see what I am doing wrong. Does anyone need a deck hand when crappie fishing??? I am depressed about the whole thing. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!

I fished same area today. Caught 26 total fish by 1:00 PM. Only three short fish. Most were 12"-15". Bite was slow, had to move a lot. Used Jigum jigs, "Texomy" in 1/8 oz. 8'-12' depth on brush. Found four new piles.
