I don't know if things are better now that the neighborhood has been built up, but to be on the safe side, if your out there after dark, carry a gun.

this lake was a good cat lake a couple of years ago, but it is over-fished and i see alot of 'non-native' people keeping even the smallest fish. Now there are not many big cats left. It was stocked with fingerling cats last year and they are getting bigger but not keeper size yet. i still see people keeping those too though. i fish at night there ALOT..never any problems from the bank on either side....unless you count being harrassed by campus police on the college side. cant fish that side at night.

it's a difficult lake to fish. consider it a lake where you should go to practice techniques and learn, rather than actually catch fish.
