Three more days of work through the Labor Day weekend and then a week of R&R in Port A.
I hope the weather is cooperative as I'm planning two days of blue water adventure. When I'm not doing that I'll hit the surf with arties for trout and reds. Can't wait.

Give me a shout when you come down! I would like to fish the surf with you if you want some company. It would have to be in the AM,I have high school matches to call 9/7-9/8-9/9 (volleyball)starting at 4pm in the CC area.

Sure thing...I'm not yet sure which two days we're heading offshore. Can't make that call until the weather/marine forecasts come in. So I'll know which days I'm fishing the surf once I can determine which days we're heading out. Unless of course we get blown off the water and go out. Then I'll be fishing the surf each of those days.
I prefer AM's anyway. I usually hit the beach just as the light begins to crack the eastern horizon.

thats a big 10-4 on the r&r in port a. my son and i will be there that weekend to fish the jetties and caldwell pier.

Well lovely...Yesterday I started coming down with either really bad allergies from all the ragweed or I've got a cold. Started with runny nose and eyes, soar throat. Now it's moved down in my chest with a rattling cough that hurts plus sinus congestion.
Top it off with a low pressure area moving across the gulf and you get 8-10 ft waves predicted in the gulf. Looks like offshore and surf fishing will be a bust.
We're supposed to leave tomorrow for Port A. Guess I'll sit on the beach and drink "cough syrup" all week. Come he!! or high water we're going though.

I'm planning on making a trip out of Port A Thur or Fri. if the seas calm a little. Let me know if your interested in going either as a buddy boat or on my boat.

Just got back it was rough inshore.. Offshore you would be on your own .. Even the big 40ft were coming back in..

Due to Hermine and this damn head cold we won't be leaving until 9/8...postponing one day. Don't care to drive in the rain and possible flooded roadways.
