Back a few years ago we got stopped by the GWs there and my buddy had left his wallet in his Suburban at the Ramp (we were in his 22' Champion) and the GWs made us go back to the ramp and they would not let him go to his truck, they made me go to the truck and retrieve his wallet and license. Never have figured that one out.

10-4 A friend of mine caught a fish in the slot on Fayette and put it in his live well that morning this past spring. He said the GW came out of nowhere and asked him and his buddy do you have any fish on board. They said no and he said let me see your live well. They got tagged and it cost my friend 165.00 for that fish. I think he sits back with binoc`s and looks at people fishing. He is a nice guy but he does not give an inch. The one`s to really look out for are the idiot L.C.R.A wardens. One of those idiots pulled up to us one night with the wind blowing hard and asked us for our license and like to have turned our bass boat over. He was a young dumb $as and I was cussing him the whole time.

Not sure I'd call it "jacking with people" but they have a job to do and personally I'm glad they do it well out there.

Maybe its called "jacking with people" when you do not follow the rules. I have been checked several times out there and they have been nothing but nice. If you have illegal fish on board...........then you get what you deserve!

You do get what you deserve. Break the rules and you pay.

The term (jacking with people)is correct!
I was doing nothing wrong and received no violations.
I was detained for 20 minutes while I was simply trying to load my boat at the ramp.
I had all of my requirements: safety equipment, license, boat tags etc. , yet he still felt the need to make me open every compartment in the boat and then wait while he ran my registration.

Was that GW`s or L.C.R.A.? That sucks and have never had that happen. He must have had a bug up his butt that day.

Could be. If you look like a scumbag they will take more time and run you on the radio to see if you have warrants. Just sayin'

Why would you complain to TP&W about a guy doing his job. Your where fishing all day so 20 min out of your day you get pissed please get over it.

they are deep right now tincan. Hopefully the schooling action will turn on soon. It can make for a fun day when that happens.

Wow! I love how some of you guys can take a friendly reminder to make sure and double check your required boating gear, and turn it into an argument.
I guess i will word it more P.C. next time.
My bad!
