Mike,

We will fish Sat. morning and when you see a 4 door green f250 with license plate that reads N2BAS you found the truck and you will know we are on the lake. We fish out of a 21 foot red and white Pro Craft with a faulty depth finders, when it comes to the temp reading. L.O.L. We will be to our friends house in Hempstead till Friday evening late.

Hope to meet you ,and share fish storys from the past.

Kevin and Sandy

If you need a few spots pm me, been fishing it 20 yes or so, although mostly in the cooler months. That water is mighty warm right now, probably 100+ around the discharge side of the lake !!!

Come on Noel (and others), you can't honestly tell me that you aren't a tad warry of this guys story. If he's been fishing Fayette as long as he claims, he should known dang well that in August, water temps are triple digits. Yet he comes here and claims a 68 degree water temp reading?!?!? Even after a poster asks him if he was sure - he responds that yes, it was 68. You start sweating in your boat its so dang hot out there.

Could he have caught the fish? Sure. I'd love to see em. Others would too. And don't tell me there aren't other posters laying low who wanted to say the same thing I did.

As I said in an earlier post, I was there from 6:30 until 11 the same day you were there. The discharge water temp was 109 and the intake was 95. I fished main lake and only caught 5 fish. Two were 6# class and the rest were 3's. To me that is pretty slow fishing for FCL but the size was good. The fish were trying to school, but coming up in ones and twos were I was fishing.

Nice Bass. I stand corrected, and eat my words.

Thats a great spot. Caught myself quite a few nice ones off that tank dam. You were doing it right to catch those in this heat. Well done sir.

Thank you basspro99 you just proved our point and would love to meet you and your wife and tell fish stories. To everyone who dials in on the fact of the temperature of the water our depth finder showed us you are missing on the fact I gave everyone pointers what to use and where we fish. Dont look at the forum as negative but look at the positive.

Thanks again bass pro99.

Kevin and Sandy.

Thanks texagfishing. Hope to see you on Fayette sometime. Dont feel bad. It is not always about fishing ,it is who you are with and the memories. Thats what counts.

Kevin and Sandy.

No problem. Glad i could help you out. Like i said earlier if you find one there will be more with it this time of year. The numbers are not what they were a couple months ago but the quality is outstanding when you find them. I will keep an eye out for you the next time i am there.

Tight Lines.

Next time try not to call somebody out too quick. Goes to show that you don't know Fayette that well after all.

Also don't get caught up in the small details of a post.
