I always buy a TX and OK license so I can wade in the red.. Just got mine since I have not had time to fish OK this year. You can buy both online.

Anyone that's not much over 50 should also consider getting an OK lifetime license. I bought one last year for $275. Once you hit 64 you don't need a license in OK - even if you're a Texas resident. You don't need the Legacy Permit either.

Still need a trout stamp though if you're going to Beavers Bend - no exceptions.

I think 2009 was the last year that OK sold a non-resident lifetime license.

I believe the trout stamp is going away 1/1/2011 and to replace the lost revenue, the NR Annual license is increasing slightly.

You are correct.

I've always found it annoying that the OK regs state you have to have a fishing license even for private water*. That's going a bit far in my book.

Just renewed mine for freshwater only. Anyone know if it can be upgraded to all water? I forgot I was thinking about Saltwater fishing sometime in the next year.

Yes you can buy an upgrade to the saltwater stamp. Don't recall the price but my freshwater had a salt redfish tag on it that I fished with at the LLM. After reading the tx book and looking at my license I figured(maybe improperly so) that I was in the right.

I've wondered about that tag too. "Circle bay or gulf" definitely sounds like salt water.

I think the SW upgrade is $10 or so.
