Since I do not know this lake at all, would it be possible for me to catch some crappies around the Marina boat docks at this time of the year?

If not, where would be a good place to start hunting for crappie for a noob to Texoma.

Thanks.

Yes, you can catch fish around the boat docks this time of year. You can catch crappie all year long around the docks on Texoma but you may not catch keepers.

Texoma can be an easy lake or a hard lake to fish. A lot of new fisherman on Texoma that have had success need to have a reality check because it can change at a moment's notice. The best thing for you to do it concentrate on points in 10 to 20 feet of water that is close to a deep drop off. Start shallow earlier in the morning and go deeper throughout the day. There is brush everywhere on Texoma so if you see something on the graph, fish it.
